Very nostalgic arcade game that robbed me of many quarters. Another great four-player game that featured the classic wrestlers from WWF. If you see my energy levels mysteriously returning to full, it's because using another credit replenishes it which you pretty much have to do in order to beat the game since you don't get enough back after each match. I think there's something about a military...and a giant-ass bee. Shmup...NO PLOT! This version of Dai-Ou-Jou has the original version (white label) and a new version (black label). Differences include different extend rate, keeping your lives while going into Loop 2, and being able to do one loop and still fight the True Last Boss. Raizing shmup. Something about some goblins, magical weapons, and money. Shmup...NO PLOT! Just another vertical shmup but with...medieval...magic...theme....Iunno. This game was KINDA hard. This [no skill] run goes through both loops with [the super cute witch] Chitta on default settings. Forward shot is used mostly. It took me awhile to kinda realize that her Forward shot isn't awesome. =/ Homing was kinda better. I stopped shooting on the ninja boss because I have problems seeing the kunais.... Cave shmup. Something about a war, experiments, psychic powers awakening, and gender bending! Who am I kidding? NO PLOT! Cave shmup....stuff fills the screen. This game is actually quite tame for a Cave game. Gameplay involves changing forms (Kakusei mode) to slow down bullets and convert them to Gold. Having no Kakusei gems while transformed will make the game REALLY mad (read: sped up bullets), but you get points by staying in Overmode. This (no skill) run goes through the game with Tateha... Cave shmup. I think it is something about a military and a bee. Iunno. shmups = no plot. Said to be the hardest Cave game ever! Plays like previous Donpachi games and introduces the Hyper system. Filling up a gauge will drop a Hyper power-up, which can be stacked 5 times. Using Hyper Mode will grant you a more powerful Shot and Laser (more Hypers = more damage), insane chaining, and temporary invincibility upon activation. Raizing shmup. After the magical war with some goblins, everyone celebrates by racing!! Same ol' vertical shmup but adds a racing element to the mix. For this [skilled, but no-skilled] run, I race through both loops with Chitta while placing first overall. Second loop demands placing first. Only stage not shown is Yashini of Ninja. Then again, that stage ISN'T fun at all. First loop was played with skills (No Miss). I tanked in the second loop on the second stage in my actual movie file. -_- I... SEGA Rally is one of the best driving games made by SEGA AM5. This game has smooth graphics, distinct handling style and superb track design. Played through 3 times once with each character. No real differentces between them though. Although I did switch up the difficulty between each playthrough hopeing to achieve a score of 100, but game just would give me those last 10 points, no idea what I did wrong. Raiden for the Mega Drive. This port is much better than the snes version in overall presentation. Played on Hard, I also found it more difficult to kill the heavier vehicles in this version. I start by leveling the blue laser but as I find it harder to kill enemies I preferred the red wide shot to kill more things on the screen at once. This version also adds an extra level at the end after the ending. Overall, this is definitely the better of the two versions. SNES version of Raiden. Played on Pro difficulty. Compared to the Mega drive version, this port isnt as polished. Its shorter with no extra level at the end. Bullets seem faster in this version but enemies are far easier to kill here. I start by leveling the red wide shot but try to play mostly with the blue laser. Outrun Online Arcade is pretty much just a cut down version of Outrun2SP with Online leaderboards. I dont care for the online aspect of the game, but I think its the only ps3 native outrun game. Its been a long time since i've played this and the controls a very sensitive and twitchy so took a few goes to even stay on the road lol. The video shows a run through of all 15 tracks using the 15 cource mode. More of a bonus addition is the Heart attack mode. Not a great run as I take the wrong track... Lets kickoff the 7800 section with Commando, recorded to compare with Atari's earler effort on the 2600. The game is certainly more recognizable with the original Arcade version and still has the classic Atari sound. I played on expert difficulty and recorded all 8 levels. Classic Gameboy port of Parasol Stars. It s a complete run showing all worlds. The ending is abit ...minimal to say the least, I was expecting more ;) I managed to collect matching Magic Items on one level allowing me to show the bonus level. In this bonus stage you can win 10 continues if you survive the time limit. Or could have taken the other door for 1 continue. Its a gamble with a big payoff ;) To get god ending(as shown) 3 Matching Magic Stars are needed on Rainbow world in order... Arcade conversion of the Taito game Night Striker to the playstation. This is pretty much an arcade perfect port with no real extras apart from extended credits I guess. Much easier than the Mega-CD version I played before as now I can see what I am doing although it should be noted that the Mega-CD version does have an arranged music mode. Gameplay is pretty simple. Fly/drive through a very short level, smash the boss and move on up through forks in the road in similar fashion to Outrun... Another difficult version. Perhaps never really suited to a gameboy conversion. The terminators will drain your energy in an instant given the oportunity and i didnt notice any life pickups either. That said, it was hard to see the pickups at all as they sort of just blend in. I cant imagine being able to play this on the actual hardware. The Last of the T2 Arcade Ports. I almost shrugged this off as the usual Master System port, but there are notable differences. This just sticks the middle finger up to the gameboy version and shows how the handheld version should have been done ;) Initially it looks like the master system version with just the sides cut off, but its more then that. The whole game area just seems to fit better, and looks more inline with other versions. The master system version looks like its zoomed out so... Another Hard version of the arcade game. I only saw 1 extra credit drop, although you do start off with more credits then master system version at least. Had trouble with the swat van getaway. No shotgun ammo ment I couldnt hurt the lorry. I dont remember this being an issue in the other ports. The port is the clossest version to the Arcade original in terms of gfx and sound. That said the gun sound is way too loud, blocking out the music almost completely. I still prefure the Amiga version... I was looking through the games list ad noticed this game. never imagined id see this game ported to master system, so have spent the evening playing....and raging. This has to be the most difficult version of the game released. I played on Normal, but damn....without tool assistance I dont think it would be possible to complete the game. Enemies constantly spawning and the hurt so much. The are also no Life/Credit drops! Unfortunatly I didnt get best ending, as it looks like you have to get... I have gone back and replayed the Alternate version of the game. Actually I think its the first version before it was decided to change the music for copyright reasons. Only reason really for recording this again s to show the few seconds of the special attack music in the zombie levels. Played mainly to show the Golden Axe game with the segacd audio tracks taken from the Arcade version I believe. I go though Duel Mode first which is a 12 round survival mode. Then onto the main game. Not much sword play as if you try then enemy just counterd and hurts you instead. pretty much every time so this long play is pretty much alot of running and bumping. SNES port of the arcade scrolling shooter Revolution X featuring aerosmith. The game gives you plenty of credits so no worries about completing, but finding the Wings needed for 100% completion can be annoying as you only get a split second to shoot the right crate in that section of the game. The snes port seems to struggle alot when alot of action is onscreen and because the crosshair feels very light, it can be really hard to aim when the fps drops. Road Blasters has been ported to pretty much every every platform of its time. While non are a perfect representation of the original arcade version, the mega drive port is probably the most accurate and best of all the ported versions. The controls are very sensitive in this version which takes some getting used to. I have recorded all 50 levels on rookie difficulty. A nice easy version of the game ;) This port appears to be based on the Mega Drive version based on the gfx used. The weapon power ups don't last long so im quite often on minimum gun power for a while while. Thankfully extra credits are plentiful in this version although I don't need so many. The game does include Speed settings so I could have speeded the game up to make it smoother, but the whole game becomes too fast then and frame rate goes up and down all the time based on whats going on....
